3 ex-NHL players state Adam Johnson's death was intentional
The hockey world was rocked by the tragic passing of player Adam Johnson, who suffered a severe neck injury from a skate during a game.
Now, former NHL players have raised questions about whether this was a mere accident or something more. Chris Therrien, with 764 NHL games under his belt, didn't hold back, suggesting it might have been intentional.
"After seeing the incident involving Adam Johnson, that bush league needs to shut down for investigation immediately. I was appalled and sickened by what I saw. It looked intentional. It was a Kung fu kick. My eyes are not lying; tell me I'm wrong," Therrien commented.
Marc Methot stopped short of calling it intentional but labeled it reckless. Meanwhile, Daniel Carcillo also expressed doubt that it was a freak accident.
These opinions have added a layer of complexity to the ongoing police investigation. However, authorities have urged caution, asking people not to share conspiracies regarding the incident until the investigation concludes.
The hockey community remains in shock and waits for answers as a police investigation ensues.
