Hope, at the beginning of this season, that the Maple Leafs would be a different team and actually would make some noise in the playoffs for the first time in 19 years. General manager Kyle Dubas made some very shrewd trades at the deadline to bolster his lineup to compete in these playoffs.

The team had a different feel, over the weekend those trades paid off as the Maple Leafs were able to dispense the Tampa Bay Lightning in six games.

The celebration from Kyle Dubas and special assistant Jason Spezza was shown repeatedly across the news, many noticed that assistant general manager Brandon Pridham did not share the same joyfulness that Dubas and Spezza did.

It was revealed from Chris Johnson, that he was involved in a car accident before Game 6 just before puck drop and that he suffered A dislocated shoulder. Johnson went on to report that he is OK and will make a full recovery.

The Maple Leafs opened their round two playoffs tonight against the Florida Panthers and lost 4-2.
