Recent Reports Reveal Jay Woodcroft's True Value as an Edmonton Oiler
The Edmonton Oilers have been a really good team this year, and it helps that players like Nuge and Hyman have really stepped up their game this year. They currently sit third in the Pacific and 10th in the league.
Since Jay Woodcroft was announced head coach on February 10th, 2022 he has lead the Oilers to the best record in the West going 28-29-11 and having a win percentage of .648.
It's pretty impressive what he's been able to do in his short time with the team, leading them to the Western Conference Finals in the playoffs last year, and getting career years out of both Nuge and Hyman this year.
This just proves that Woodcroft is the best in the West!!
Both Nuge and Hyman have been huge players this year and reasons why Edmonton has been successful. Getting depth scoring has been huge, and not always having to rely on Draisaitl and McDavid is nice.
Nuge currently sits third on the team in scoring with 72 points in 60 games, and Hyman sits fourth with 69 points in 59 games. Both players are also top 15 in league leading scorers, and are the only team that have four players in the top 25 league leading scorers.
