Team Canada suffers a massive loss
Today, the Hlinka-Gretzky Cup, a competitive international u-18 tournament held in August, saw Team Canada face off against Team Finland in the preliminary matches.
Both teams are in Group B, and Finland proved to be the dominant team of the game. Team Canada suffered a significant loss, with a final score of 6-9 in favor of Finland.
And now Tuomas Suoniemi scores a highlight-reel goal to make it 7-5 Finland. #hlinkagretzkycup
It is worth noting that Finland had three times as many power-plays and three more shots on goal than Team Canada. Gabriel D'Aigle had a .667 sv% and Carter George had a .500 sv%.
Hopefully, Team Canada can make a comeback in their next game, as they struggled to establish their gameplay against Finland.
