It was a very sad day in London Ontario Saturday morning after the tragic news that London lost one of it's own. London knights Abakar Kazbekov was found deceased outside his luxury Condominium he was living at in downtown London.
After a police investigation it was revealed that Kazbekov the 18 year-old Russian born player and Knights 2021 first round pick had fallen to his death.
Kazbekov was in the lineup just the night before when the Knights beat the Owen Sound Attack 5-2 at Budweiser Gardens, so to hear this news was even more shocking.
Kazbekov's teammate and Montreal Canadiens prospect defenceman Logan Mailoux would share a touching tribute on his Instagram account.
Mailloux would say "fly high Abby 15" the nickname Kazbekov had in London, the Knights have also left the Jumbotron on at Budwesier Gardens with Kazbekov's #15 on the screen along with changing the Knights Twitter account pic to the #15 also to pay tribute to their fallen teammate.
