In the 2013-2014 hockey season, Sam Gagner wore an Edmonton Oilers jersey.

He finished the season with 37 points on 10 goals and 27 assists for the Oilers.

Sounds like Jeff Jackson might have helped play a role in bringing Sam Gagner to EDM on a PTO. He mentions he had been keeping tabs on the team all summer via Jackson, his former agent.

«I guess something about pulling on an Oilers jersey gets me fired up too»

The team's current President of Hockey operations is Jeff Jackson, the former agent of Gagner.

The front office continues to change under Jackson, and he has once again been instrumental in bringing in talent. There had been speculation that Gagner would get a deal with the Oilers during the off-season because Jackson and Gagner had been keeping in touch and monitoring the Oilers.

As a result, Gagner will return to the team on a PTO, thanks to Jackson, and is eager to return in Oilers colors.

It will be good to see Gagner return to Edmonton for a second stint, offering a valuable veteran presence all the while.
