General manager Ken Holland must be feeling good about himself after making an unexpected coaching change in November. Since Kris Knoblauch and Paul Coffey have taken over the bench, the Oilers have responded impressively and are currently on an 8 game-winning streak.

The Oilers metrics are showing that the team is trending in the right direction an improving on every front.

Recently, Oilers reporter Tony Brar spoke with Holland and asked him several questions on the state of the team and what he is doing to improve it.

The answers were typical as most general managers will not tip their hand to reporters however, it seems that he's more than satisfied of keeping everything status quo then shopping to improve the team otherwise.

Dylan Holloway has been recovering from a knee injury that he sustained against the New York Islanders when he collided with the boards. Holland had hopes that this would be a rebound season for Holloway as he was plagued with injuries last year.

Even though the goaltending has stabilized has improved immensely along with their defensive play, I would expect Holland to be shopping for another goaltender as it appears Jack Campbell is in no shape to return to the Oilers.

A trade may be difficult as the Oilers will need to do some cap gymnastics to fit another goaltender who could hold millions of dollars in cap space.

For now, Holland will sit back and enjoy what he's watching at the moment, but if he wants a long cup run, Skinner and Pickard will not be the answer long term.
