It's been 24 hours said the St Louis Blues general manager Doug Armstrong decided to make a change behind the bench when he fired former head coach Craig Berube.
His firing, was another attempt by Armstrong to send a message to his players that they need to light the fire under themselves and try to turn their season around.
With Drew Bannister behind the bench, the Blues responded well and put themselves up 3-0 in the game. But one player on the Senators, Brady Tkachuk had seen enough and wanted to fire up his teammates with a great tilt with Tyler Tucker.
The scrap was violent and fast, both men threw their bombs and connected several times to which Tkachuk's family laughed and enjoyed what they saw. His father Keith Tkachuk, a former St Louis Blues player wasn't a stranger to dropping the gloves and did his share of battles.
His plan worked as the Senators scored less than two minutes after the scrap went on. Unfortunately, the Senators lost the game 4-2 and Bannister was credited for his first win as NHL coach.
