A group of Oilers players have made an incredible gesture to the local community by visiting a reservation for a low-key practice and interact with fans as their break comes to an end.
The Oilers held their first official practice since the 4 Nations break today at Rogers Place, with Matthew Savoie and Derek Ryan joining the team.

Some fans at the Enoch Cree Nation Reservation shared photos of some of the Oilers coming by for a surprise practice in the small local rink, and interacting closely with fans while on the ice.
10 Oilers players took the time out of their break to link up for some extra work on the ice, and interact with some hardcore fans while they're at it. It's an incredible move from that group of Oilers, showing their work ethic and connection to the community.
The Edmonton Oilers organization has a close relationship with the fans of Oil Country and frequently go above and beyond to interact with the fans, and this is another prime example. It must have been a great experience to see a practice up close.
Oilers preparing comeback from 4 Nations Faceoff break
At Oilers practice today, the team was back to being laser focused on the results ahead of them, and getting into shape for the stretch run of their season.
Leon Draisaitl was one to call out the team for some lacklustre performances before the 4 Nations break, and demanding the team snap back into shape afterward.
It's been a long stretch without Oilers hockey, and fans will be jumping at the bit to see their team return to the ice. In just 7 games will be the trade deadline, and after that, the most important push for the Stanley Cup yet in the Connor McDavid era.
