Team Canada loses another defenceman to injury moments before final vs Team USA

Team Canada's defence depth has taken a significant hit throughout the duration of this tournament, and now they're taking another hit before the most important game.
The first defenceman to leave the tournament was Alex Pietrangelo, arguably the team's second best defenceman. Next was Shea Theodore to an injury in their first game, and even missing Cale Makar for their first matchup against Team USA.
At the same time, injuries won't be an excuse for either side. Team USA a has several star players hurting it out through injuries too, including both Tkachuk brothers, Auston Matthews, and likely more too.
Illness has been a pretty significant problem at the 4 Nations tournament, getting into almost every locker room. Cale Makar missed his game with illness, and the Swedish team was reportedly greatly affected.
Hopefully, Canada's overall depleted blue line does not make a major difference in tonight's result.
Still, this tournament has turned out to have the feel of a true best in best competition, and Thomas Harley will play with everything he's got while entering the lineup. Puck drop is moments away in one of the most anticipated hockey games of the decade.
