Team Canada confirms lineup at final practice before 4 Nations Final vs Team USA

Connor McDavid's linemates and the top six have shifted since the beginning the tournament due to some lack of chemistry, and now the final pairings are here.

According to Oilers reporter Tony Brar, Connor McDavid will be staying with Brayden Point and Mark Stone, his same linemates from their last game against Finland.

Sam Reinhart has been dropped to the second like, and Mitch Marner down to the third line. Seth Jarvis is expected to be the only healthy scratch from the original roster.

McDavid's pairing with Brayden Point and Mark Stone worked much better than his original linemates, Reinhart and Marner. Point has the speed, forechecking, and net front ability to pair perfectly with McDavid, and Mark Stone is an elite positional player to react off the pair.

Yesterday at Oilers practice, Leon Draisaitl admitted that it can be hard for some players to fit in seamlessly with McDavid because he's such a uniquely dominant player. Even on Team Canada with elite NHLers like Marner and Reinhart, McDavid just couldn't seem to find a fit with them.

This year's tournament gave teams very little time to dial in their lineups, so every decision and shift will make a difference.

Team Canada and USA will play the anticipated 4 Nations Faceoff Final tomorrow night in Boston at 6:00MT. With the rivalries between Canada and the USA, the absence of international hockey, and the jaw dropping talent on both teams - it's sure to be in the best hockey games of the decade.
