Sam Gagner has seen his share of teams over the past 19 NHL seasons. Having played in both conferences including the Philadelphia Flyers, Arizona Coyotes and Detroit Red Wings it's clear that he felt at home when the Oilers decided to bring him back for a third time this year.
He was awarded a one-year deal after a successful PTO it has been rather effective considering the limited ice time he has been seen with the Oilers.
During tonight's game against Connor Bedard in the Chicago Blackhawks, Gagner joked about being the biggest guy on his line in his entire career. Standing at 511 and 200 lbs he certainly has plenty to offer.
More importantly, Gagner professed his love for the Oilers fans and what they bring to the table as they are the best fans in the NHL.
Showing how skills in hands never go away despite your age, he has played thirteen games for the Oilers this season, has scored three goals with three assists for six points and is a + 0.
He has been on a reduced amount of ice time which has been an average of 11 minutes and 15 seconds but still comes up big at key times during games.
