Connor McDavid has hilarious moment while breaking down Oilers trade deadline moves

Oilers superstar Connor McDavid is more motivated than ever to win a Stanley Cup this season, and was thrilled to see Edmonton make some additions to help that goal.
McDavid even sent a message to Oilers management in the week before the deadline, hinting that he would like to see a significant add to the group.

Speaking to the media after practice today, McDavid was clearly thrilled with the trade deadline moves from the Oilers, so much so that he actually got caught up in his words.
Yeah, I'm excited. It's excited. Wow, I'm excited. There we go. I'm excited about it.
Walman's a great player. I kind of grew up playing against him, playing with him. So I know him well. He's solid, a big body that skates well, defends well. A guy that'll help back there, and obviously the moves we made before, so it's exciting.

Speaking more in detail, McDavid even compared the Oilers deadline to the Colorado Avalanche's, a team who went all-in at the deadline. Interestingly, McDavid seemed to stress continuity in the locker room as an important factor to Edmonton.
I feel like Colorado's got like, a brand new team. Throughout the course of the year they got two new goalies, a bunch of new forwards, d-men. But it's the trade deadline and that's going to happen, there's going to be teams that load up. I feel like I like our moves, feel like we're in a good spot, that's all you can ask for.
It's hilarious to see McDavud get tripped up in his reaction and laugh about himself, and it shows the real boost a solid trade deadline can have on a team.
Oilers had solid deadline, despite missing out on few key pieces
The Oilers may have missed out on the big fish of the trade deadline with their offer to Mikko Rantanen, and definitely should've added a goaltender.
However, the moves for Frederic, Jones, and Walman look to be solid additions that will be key playoff contributors - and that's enough to get the captain excited.
