Former Oilers Philip Broberg and Dylan Holloway are continuing their great season with the Blues, and have taken yet another shot at their former team in new interviews.

Broberg and Holloway say leaving Oilers was easy decision in new interview

After another great game with the Blues, Holloway was asked about his decision to leave the Oilers in the offseason, and the young forward said they were at «peace with the decision» to get more ice time.
The 23-year-old winger said he and Broberg were at peace with their decision to sign the offer sheets and looked forward to bigger roles than they had with Edmonton.

«That's one thing that we knew coming here, that we were going to get more opportunity. And I think as young players that's big for our development."- Holloway

After going down with injury for a while, Broberg has cooled off a torrid scoring pace from earlier this season, but he still has 20 points in 47 games.
Those are career highs across the board, just from playing more ice time. Dylan Holloway has an incredible 18 goals and 43 points in 60 games too. With Edmonton, Holloway scored 18 points in two seasons.
Broberg himself said he's felt very comfortable joining the Blues, but coach Jim Montgomery says he's still not even close to his ceiling.
BROBERG: «I think the group here is great, and everybody welcomed me in so well and made me feel comfortable right away, and I'm sure Holloway felt the same. It's been a lot of fun.»

MONTGOMERY: He's obviously gained confidence. He knows he's really good in this league, and I just think he's going to keep getting better. He's not close to his ceiling, in my opinion.

This is coming off Broberg having a fantastic 2 goal game including one Bobby Orr-esque diving goal. Dylan Holloway also scored once in the Blues 5-2 win.
Given how the season has gone for the Oilers free agent signings of Jeff Skinner and Viktor Arvidsson, letting both Broberg and Holloway walk is firmly a mistake in retrospect. At least matching one, likely Holloway at $2.29M, would've been the right move.
Connor McDavid seemed to single out Dylan Holloway on a number of occasions this year, potentially showing some friction in their relationship after the offer sheets. Considering they're constantly throwing shots at Edmonton in interviews, it's well justified by the Oilers captain.
