Tom Wilson gets jumped by former teammate during stoppage in play
Tom Wilson is known throughout hockey for being one of the biggest villains in the NHL. Standing at 6'4, 220 pounds, few players are even willing to challenge Wilson. Tonight however, it seems a personal grudge was aired when former teammate Garnet Hathaway went after Wilson during a stoppage in play.
Hathaway went after Wilson first and the two exchanged words and a few slashed before quickly escalating into a full blown fight. Hathaway seemed incensed and was able to take Wilson down before he got his gloves off, and the referees put an end to the scrum.
It was incredible to see a player go after one of the biggest villains in the league in Wilson, and it's interesting to speculate with the fact they're former teammates and how angered Hathaway was - it seemed like it could've been personal.
