BREAKING: NHL to Cancel Multiple Games on Friday
The NHL is getting ready for a large wave of games to be cancelled due to an upcoming "Snow storm Elliott" in North America. In Canada and the United States, the storm will bring severe gusts, a lot of snow, and freezing rain.
The Sabres and Tampa Bay game is probably going to be the first one to be postponed, according to NHL insider Frank Seravalli, but there are other games that may also get moved up, like the Edmonton Oilers facing off against the Vancouver Canucks as well as the Philadelphia Flyers against the Carolina Hurricanes.
Frank Seravalli stated the following:
Hearing #Sabres / #GoBolts game on Friday night is likely to be postponed with impending winter storm.�
May not be the only game on the slate postponed - aside from safety issue for fans, #NHL doesn't want to teams being stranded for holidays.
This will be�a wise decision by the league considering that Buffalo and many other cities were recently slammed by the record-breaking snowfall seen below:
