Blackhawks and Avalanche Complete a Trade to Send a Cup Winning Defensemen The Other Way
The Chicago Blackhawks were anticipated to be sellers on March 3, the day of the NHL trade deadline, but they have already begun doing so, along with other teams.
The Chicago Blackhawks and the New York Rangers are apparently working out the financial details of a trade that will send Patrick Kane to the Big Apple. Five trades were made today in the NHL, one of which involves a defenseman from the Chicago Blackhawks returning to his old team where he won the cup.
The Colorado Avalanche and the Chicago Blackhawks have officially traded defenseman Jack Johnson for Andreas Englund.
Swedish-born defenseman Englund, 27, has spent his entire North American hockey career with the Colorado Avalanche's farm team in the AHL. This year, he made the switch to the NHL, where he has already appeared in 37 games.
