The Winnipeg Jets are facing an uphill battle in their first-round series against the Vegas Golden Knights, currently down 3-1. Things have gotten even worse for the team with Mark Scheifele's injury. Scheifele left the game during the third period of Game 3 after crashing into the boards following a trip by Golden Knights goaltender Laurent Brossoit. Surprisingly, no call was made on the play.

Initially, Scheifele continued to play, but moments later, while his team was on the powerplay, he attempted a slap shot and left the game, holding his arm, without returning.

The Jets have promised to provide an update on Scheifele's condition today. Winnipeg is already missing key players Nikolaj Ehlers, Josh Morrisey, and Cole Perfetti. Scheifele's absence would be another significant blow to an already depleted team.

The Jets will need to rally and find a way to overcome the odds if they hope to make a comeback in this series. Losing Scheifele, who is one of their top forwards, would certainly make that task more challenging. The team and fans alike will be eagerly awaiting news on his condition.
