Owners and players have attempted to offset the loss in revenue caused by COVID-19 (alias Sarscov2) through other means.

There would be advertising space on their helmets, and many teams would have sponsors on their home and away jerseys. During the 2023-2024 season, their partnership with TikTok with the Toronto Maple Leafs will come to an end.

TikTok logo is gone from #LeafsForever helmets starting today

Maple Leafs, MLSE, and TikTok will end their ad partnership on the helmet and explore other opportunities.

The Maple Leafs are the first team to drop a helmet sponsor, so there is no official replacement for now.

«The Maple Leafs and MLSE are proud of the innovative partnership with TikTok and look forward to future projects together,» said Dave Haggith, vice president of communications for Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment told McGran in a statement.

A patch with the All-Star logo will be added to the team's jersey in the meantime since the All-Star Game will be held there this year.
