I have watched hockey for over 30 years, I have seen teams go through some hard times where teams will draft poorly or make terrible decisions on the trade front or a key star does not have any interest in signing long-term with the organization.

The situation in Calgary is something that I have never seen before. Player after player is coming out to the media stating they have zero desire to re-sign with the Flames after next season. Many of them are part of the core of their franchise.

Some have stated that it was because Darryl Sutter remained as coach until they fired him from the organization For a second time. Dailyfaceoff.com leader Frank Seravalli also through his thoughts about what will happen to the Flames and it doesn't sound promising.

At a time when the flame should be rejoicing and happy with the fact they landed a new land deal with a new arena to be built, it's turned into a nightmare. The idea that this many core players have no interest in remaining is shocking but expected.

This organization has not been well run for a little while now and with Craig Conroy being entered as the new general manager and with such importance to make sure the right decisions are done this team could look far worse in the next two seasons with all these stars leaving the team.

Oilers fans need to sit back and watch as their bitter rival begins to crumble.
