Jack Campbell Let's in First Shot of The Game in First Start 20 Days
In their matchup against the San Jose Sharks tonight, the Edmonton Oilers suffered an unfortunate setback just seconds into the game. Starting goaltender Jack Campbell let in a goal on the first shot of the game, leaving his team down a goal just 35 seconds into the first period....
Thankfully, the goal was deemed offside. Three shots later, they did end up scoring....
While the early goal was certainly a disappointment, Campbell's ability to shake it off and continue to play solid hockey is a testament to his mental toughness, the playoffs are just around the corner and they will not be too long-lasting for the Oilers if Campbell cannot make routine saves.
