The Edmonton Oilers' name has been thrown around in trade rumours left and right over the last few seasons, regarding Patrick Kane all the way to enforcers such as Ryan Reaves, the Oilers have been involved during a lot of chatter.

One thing everybody is aware of is that the Oilers need an elite-level defensemen to compliment their dominating offense with Draisaitl and McDavid up-front, take a look at the Oilers' defensemen lines below:

Tyson Barrie had high hopes heading into Edmonton, in past seasons he has put up multiple 50+ points seasons (57,57,53,51), but has struggled to do so in an Oilers jersey even playing alongside Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl during 5v5 and powerplays.

Barrie has still produced in a good-manner, but fans sure have mixed opinions on him.

Pagnotta reveals that Barrie remains on the trade block for the Edmonton Oilers, with Barrie traded- this could sure lead to a much large addition on the Oilers blue line such as Erik Karlsson or even Jacob Chychrun- if teams are willing to retain salary in a trade with the Oilers, as the organization is a little tight on cap space.
