The Edmonton Oilers return to play tonight vs the Detroit Red wings at Little Ceasars Arena as they head into a four game road trip. However, one Oilers fan either missed hockey so much or he was just confused.

During Monday night's matchup between the New York Rangers and Calgary Flames from Madison Square Garden, an Oilers fan got noticed on Social media after Rangers forward Alexis Lafreniere would score the overtime winner.

The lone Oilers fan sitting at ice level would celebrate with the Rangers crowd after the win looking super excited. Hockey Insider Howie Rose also noticed the fan and would comment on social media saying:

Look at the guy in the Oilers jersey in the lower left hand corner. He's happy because the Rangers beat the Flames, and so his 2nd favorite team is whoever is playing Calgary. Same with NYR-NYI. That's why NHL needs more rivalry games. Just 3 this season? Utterly absurd.

It's believed that the Rangers fan is cheering because the Flames lost the game, you love to see it!
