Scary Moment as Flames Defensemen Gets Knocked Out After a Slapshot to the back of the head
Hockey players continue to sustain several serious, and tragically, these incidents seem to be increasing in frequency.
Hockey is not all rainbows and sunshine, as seen by Evander Kane's wrist-cutting incident and now Christopher Tanev of the Calgary Flames receiving a slap shot to the back of the head.
The Montreal Canadiens were on the power play and trying to tie the game at one during the second period of play between the Calgary Flames and Montreal Canadiens, but defenseman Chris Tanev, who often leads the NHL in blocked shots, put his body on the line, and it ended horribly.

No updates have been provided since Tanev was knocked down by the puck and needed help to leave the rink; we ask for prayers.
