Jake DeBrusk will be moving across the continent this season after leaving the Bruins to sign with the Canucks, but a big personal problem may follow him: a stalker.

According to multiple fans on social media, Jake DeBrusk has been dealing with a stalker for several years now, who has been banned from entering TD Garden in Boston. Now that DeBrusk's moving, the stalker is publicly planning to uproot and move to Vancouver as well.

Also @Canucks she has admitted that the Bruins had her banned and that the Boston Police Department had to get involved. She threatens Jake & and his gf Mia like Why does she deserve protection,' lots of bad karma coming her way» and Jake will pay for it'

This is extremely concerning to behaviour to see from a fan, and a well founded cause for concern for DeBrusk and his loved ones. The stalker has not yet been banned from Rogers Arena in Vancouver, but if their efforts persist there as well, DeBrusk will likely take action fast.

The 27-year old DeBrusk signed with the Vancouver Canucks at $5.5M for 7 years in free agency, hoping to boost their top six wingers and fill the hole left by Elias Lindholm's departure. DeBrusk was heavily rumoured to be signing with his hometown Oilers, but Jeff Jackson clearly had other plans.

Hopefully the DeBrusk family is not affected by this in any way, and the authorities can take the appropriate actions if needed to keep them safe and free from harassment. This behaviour is always sad and scary to see, and it happens all too often to NHL players and professional athletes.
