It was also reported that changes this will be the first time the condors have the four centres they have been wanting to play since late October.
The 25-year-old forward has only managed five games for the Bakersfield Condors this year after going down to his injury.
He began to make a name for himself with the Oilers late last year as he had a 2 1/2-month stint with the team where he played 31 games scoring two goals with one assist for three points, but his style of game certainly caught the attention of the coaching staff.
Several pundits felt that he would be the dark horse in this year's training camp as he showed more promise to crack the lineup.
Hamblin also became known for his tribute to his late mother Gina after he scored his first goal on November 18th, 2023, when he played against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Right after the goal he pointed upward and said «that's for you mom» which became known around the sports world.
With Hamblin's return, this will give the Oilers more depth as the season wears on and the Oilers could have a chance to look at some of their youngsters who could crack the lineup including Noah Philp, Hamblin, Matt Savoie and Seth Griffith.
The Condors are currently 8th in their division with a record of 11-10- 3 through 25 games. They haven't had a strong last 10 games as they have gone 4-5-1.
The Oilers meanwhile, will be back on the road to take on their heated rival the Los Angeles Kings game time will be at 4:00 PM eastern on December 28th.
