Through a season of already dealing with many nagging injuries, it looks like the oilers might be dealing with another injury to a top 6 player.
This is one of many nagging injuries that seem to be keeping players out of the lineup this year, and is very unfortunate for a young player who just seems to be catching his footing on a line with Draisaitl. McLeod has been great defensively and gaining traction on the offensive side of the game, so this loss really sucks for line chemistry and for player development.
One possible upside to this however, is that Evander Kane could be slotted in to that hole left by McLeod, giving him top 6 minutes again. This could be great for Kane, and hopefully he can cover McLeod's spot while he's out, or possibly even find his scoring touch again and take over for him on that second line.
