Connor McDavid stops to make incredible gesture to fans on his birthday
Yesterday, Connor McDavid marked his 27th birthday in Montreal as the Oilers visited the Habs for a marquee matchup on Saturday night.
In such a passionate hockey city like Montreal, the fans were well aware of McDavid's birthday, and were spotted outside the hotel singing Happy Birthday to McDavid. Before taking the team bus to the Bell Center, McDavid stopped to acknowledge these fans.
In the video, fans can be singing McDavid happy birthday, and McDavid clearly recognizes it. While speaking briefly to someone near him, he clearly indicates he wants to meet the fans, then heads over to sign autographs and stop for pictures.
It's a great gesture from McDavid to make on his birthday, and it's fantastic to see the recognition he gets across the country and how far Oilers Nation stretches.
