Oilers players make great gesture to city of Edmonton
Away from the game of hockey, it's great to see the personality of players on our favourite teams. Earlier today, some Oilers players showed true heart and love for the city of Edmonton, by giving back to some of the most vulnerable.
After practice today, the Oilers took a few kids from the Make-a-wish foundation on the ice to skate around and play with their hockey heroes.
This skate is a wish granted to very sick children, giving them the opportunity to fulfill their dreams after long fights in the hospital. It's fantastic to see the Oilers recognize the importance of that, and make time for them.
