With the Heritage Classic behind them and a recent 5-2 victory against the Calgary Flames, and a few days in between games the Oilers decided to embrace the Halloween spirit by dressing up in their costumes.
Thanks to the power of social media and the X platform, several players, including
Leon Draisaitl,
Connor Brown, and
Jack Campbell, shared their costumes, with two of them in a Harry Potter-themed setting.
While Draisaitl opted for Beckham with Posh Spice in tow Brown opted for a Harry Potter theme. However, all the attention was on Jack Campbell. The Oilers' goaltender chose to portray Dobby from the JK Rowling books.
He was almost unrecognizable in his photos and, according to Lights Out Hockey, downright horrifying.
With the team off to a slow start and hoping that the win against Calgary will ignite a series of wins to boost their confidence, dressing up for Halloween and enjoying costume parties is a great way to momentarily divert their focus and have some fun with their teammates while building trust.
The Oilers will stay at home and face the Dallas Stars on Thursday, November 2nd, with the game starting at 9:00 PM Eastern Time.
