The Oilers appeared light on their skates and feeling much better about themselves after a gutsy win against the Minnesota Wild. The Oilers enjoyed their 6th win in a row as the team showed tonight that special teams are the way to win the game.
Both teams had their coaches fired within the last month and both were ready to do battle against one another as there is much to prove to the fan base and to the coaching staff.
It was a special night for Evan Bouchard as he now shares a record with his assistant coach Paul Coffey as he is now the owner of a 10-game point streak. He currently is in 3rd for NHL offence as a defenceman at 27 points. McDavid continues his dominance with a two-point night and holding an 8-game point streak currently standing at 21.
The Oilers outshot the Wild 40-20 and Skinner shut the door. These are the kind of wins the Oilers need to do to continue to write the ship and get the most from their leadership group.
The Oilers will remain at home when they face off against the New Jersey Devils on December 10th. Game time will be at 5:00pm EST.
