Canadians rank Oilers mascot as one of the worst in the country

CTV news Edmonton released a report yesterday that Hunter the Lynx who is the mascot of the Edmonton Oilers has been ranked fourth worst in Canada.

2000 people were asked in a nationwide survey on who they feel is the best mascot and Hunter appeared to rank just above Youppi of the Montreal Canadiens and Mick E Moose of the Winnipeg Jets.

Carlton the bear received the top ranks who is the mascot of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Oilers rival the Calgary Flames was second who happens to be Harvey the hound and the Vancouver Canucks and Ottawa Senators share third place between Sparta Cat and Fin the Killer Whale.

The Oilers had chosen the lynx as the Edmonton valley zoo and the organization learned that the Canadian Lynx has the most population in Alberta throughout the world.

Hunter the lynx will be ready for another NHL season as training camp is opening and the Oilers are preparing to do battle and try to get to the Stanley Cup finals for a second year in a row and winning it.
