Edmonton media responds to Kevin Bieksa shredding them on broadcast
After game 4 of the Oilers series, Sportsnet analyst and former player Kevin Bieksa tore into the Edmonton media for being the worst in the NHL.
Bieksa called the Oilers media �Raw, Dead, and Dumb' and continued to berate them for their treatment of Darnell Nurse. Many members of the Oilers media were very critical of Nurse and have been of other players over the years, and Bieksa called them out for their negativity and sided with the players.
Now, some members of the Oilers media are responding, and seem a little chuffed at the criticism from Bieksa. Jason Gregor pointed out that Mark Messier agreed that Nurse needs to be better, and he's won unlike Kevin Bieksa.

Hilariously enough, by this logic, Gregor is also saying that his opinion isn't worth anything at all. If you haven't won a Stanley Cup, than how could you possibly know anything? Many fans came out pointing out that flaw in Gregor's response.
This hasn't been the first time that Bieksa has joked at the Oilers' media expense either. Last season, he threw out Mark Spector's name in sarcastic fashion in response to a negative take. Bieksa's comments are absolutely hilarious, especially considering they actually work for the same company.
No other members of the media had the gall to confront the joke made by Bieksa, and maybe rightfully so. For such a good team that heading deep into the playoffs, the Oilers media can be especially too negative at the wrong times. Maybe this comment from Bieksa will be the thing to finally get the media to chill out.
