It appears that the fiery Leon Draisaitl has reappeared as he was seen yelling at his assistant coach Glen Gulutzan after the team failed on the power play in the opening minute of the game against the Hurricanes.

The clash happened after Draisaitl managed to draw a penalty which led to a power play and within the opening minute of the game. The Oilers were unable to capitalize and this clearly irked Draisaitl who then took it out on his assistant coach.

Draisaitl has been MVP of Oilers all season

This season has seen Draisaitl take another step in his career as he has emerged as a clear MVP for the Oilers and has taken this team on his back at times especially when McDavid was either suspended for three games or injured.
His numbers speak volumes on how his game has gone this year as the 29-year-old who is enjoying his new eight-year contract has played 60 games, scored 44 goals with 46 assists for 90 points and as a + 28.
Barring any injuries, many expect Draisaitl to surpass his numbers that he's done in his entire time with the Oilers and it's clear that he wears his heart on his sleeve and plays for this team as he has shown his emotions again that have been absent for some time.

Draisaitl's leadership second to none for the Oilers

Draisaitl has continued to show his commitment to the Oilers especially after they have snapped their five-game losing streak during their road trip.
His emotions ran high again after their loss against the Florida Panthers as he was seen kicking the bench door and looking straight at Stuart Skinner as he stormed off down the alley.
This kind of emotion is absolutely needed for the Oilers as they prepare themselves for the stretch run of the season and the emotions of the playoffs.
This team is built to win now and if these last two games have shown that they have turned a corner, many can thank Draisaitl for his leadership and intensity as they look to lock up the top spot in the Pacific division.
The Oilers are now back home awaiting the arrival of the Anaheim Ducks who will play against them on Tuesday March 4th at 9:00pm eastern.
