Evander Kane spotted with ridiculously cocky pre game ritual
Evander Kane is known across the league for having one of the more outgoing and confident personalities, and sometimes, he plays that side of himself up to rally his Oilers teammates or the fans. In a recent episode of The Drop, Kane can be seen warming up for the Oilers wearing two Rolex watches, one on each wrist.
The episode of the Drop shows a game from early December where Kane brought out the Rolexes for pre-game as part of a bet about a win streak they had at the time. Shortly after Knoblauch took over, the team went on a run, and Kane said if the team got to a five game win streak, he'd bring out the watches for fun.
On an episode of the Snipes and Stripes Podcast a while ago, Kane explained the fun bet as a way to get some excitement and motivation into the locker room at a time the team needed it.
It's a hilarious moment for Kane to embrace the more villainous side of himself while also motivating the team to see him take the ice ridiculously wearing two Rolexes. From around that time in the season, the Oilers have absolutely sky-rocketed, and the leadership in the locker room including from Kane is a huge reason for that. These types of gimmicks bring the team together, which is absolutely critical to go deep in the playoffs.
