Hockey fans across the NHL have had some traditions of throwing things on the ice in support of their team.

The Detroit Red Wings have the octopus, the Nashville Predators have the catfish, and now it seems the Edmonton Oilers have T-Bone Steak.

It seems that twice throughout the game, some Oilers fans were looking to start their own tradition of throwing steak on the ice. Once was during the national anthems which wasn't televised, and the second was after Evander Kane scored a brilliant goal off the faceoff while the crowd sung Living on a Prayer.

When the second steak hit the ice it was a near magical moment for the Oilers and their fans, knowing they've forced a game 7 and extended their series at least one more game. Hopefully, the raucous crowd at Rogers Place last night gives the team even more motivation to win game 7, and play more games in front of the home crowd. Vancouver of course will be a raucous crowd, but everyone knows that it may be more nervous energy - and they don't handle losses exceptionally well.

The Oilers will travel to Vancouver to play game 7 tomorrow night at 7:00MT. After Skinner's bounce back performance, a dominant team effort, and the passion from the fans - the Oilers should be fully rejuvenated with momentum on their side in game 7.
