This decision is rare as most teams hold on ice sessions while they learn to develop their game and become better players. Instead, they have chosen to go through the educational route as the organization feels that players are always on the ice and need to improve their personal skills which includes money management, nutrition cooking and life skills.
This is certainly an interesting approach but a smart one as many of these younger players are entering into the NHL at the ages of 20 through 24 then we'll need guidance on how to manage their large contracts while continuing to hold their nutrition and strength in dealing with the rigor of the NHL season.
There will be several prominent players to keep an eye on during this camp including Beau Ackey, Sam O'Reilly, Shane Lachance and Brady Stonehouse who will all try to make an impression while learning how to become NHL stars.
