The Edmonton Oilers have released a new line of hilarious player focused t-shirts for the Oilers team store, and the players themselves came out to model the merch.

Zach Hyman and Leon Draisaitl stepped up to model t-shirts specifically tailored to themselves, and also to get a laugh from any Oilers fan who would see these shirts.

Election season has come and gone, and now the Oilers are making light of the entire situation as a whole with a new «candidacy» for Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl in 2024. It's got a simple «Let's Go Oilers» call underneath, a motto that should be a winning election slogan in my humble, humble opinion. Draisaitl stood with a cheeky smile, like he also liked the joke of the shirt.

Zach Hyman stood modelling a shirt based on his awesome nickname referencing an NBA legend: Shaq Hyman. Last year in the playoffs, a story was revealed that Leafs coach Sheldon Keefe used to compliment Hyman's work ethic and physicality by calling him Shaq Hyman, and the nickname caught like wildfire across the hockey world.

Hyman even sent a signed jersey to Shaquille O'Neal during last year's playoffs, which Shaq proudly displayed while on air for an NBA broadcast. It's a great and organic way for the Edmonton Oilers to be exposed to new viewers, who usually become fans when they start watching McDavid take the ice.

These are simply funny t-shirts, but it's also a great example of how connected the Oilers organization is with the attitude of their fans, and the players being willing to take part in the effort is awesome to see too.
