With the Stars winning game 2 and putting the pressure on Edmonton, it doesn't make fans feel any better knowing that the Stars are missing a massive piece of their lineup in Roope Hintz. It seems like Hintz's absence time is up, which could be Tough for the Oilers.
Stars head coach Pete DeBoer has been giving lots of updates on Hintz as he heads on the roadtrip with the team. DeBoer says that he's optimistic that Hintz plays in either game 3 or game 4 and that Hintz would have been able to play in game 2 had it been an elimination game.
They took the route of keeping Hintz out so they could rest him up to 100% health. This is bad news for the Oilers, as Hintz is a huge asset for the Stars. He has 6 points in 11 games, but is an amazing defensive part of the Stars' offence.
Despite Hintz being close to coming back, the Oilers just need to focus on their own game. The Oilers just got Henrique back and need to keep up their defensive game, so they can build on that game 1 win momentum.
