Moments ago in tonight's Oilers' game, Stuart Skinner fully laid out to make what could be a save of the year candidate against Brad Marchand of the Bruins.

To keep the score tied at zero, Skinner fully launched his far shoulder all the way into a dive to seal off the net, and directly took a goal away from Brad Marchand. It was absolutely insane that Skinner was able to get his blocker to the far side in time to stop that shot. This will go down as one of the league's best saves of the year, or at least for the Oilers.

Although Skinner faltered a bit in the month of February, he occupies perhaps the most important position for the Edmonton Oilers in the playoffs. Skinner has shown he can be a high-end starting goalie in the NHL, but has struggled with consistency. He doesn't have to make save of century candidates, but just give the Oilers league average goaltending in the playoffs, and their offence will be able to keep them in games.

This save is incredible to see from Skinner, showing his talent and his confidence in a big game test against the always-dangerous Boston Bruins. If Skinner can keep up this level of play through the playoffs, no matter what the Oilers do at the deadline, they'll have a shot at the Stanley Cup.
