Rishaug pointed out that Bowman has taken pressure off of his forward lines by adding Kasperi Kapanen to the lineup through waivers rather than trade.
His recent play has earned him a position in the top nine of the Oilers and has given what the Oilers needed in terms of speed and goal scoring.
He also explains that the Oilers are set to have Evander Kane come back into the lineup after undergoing major surgery early in the season which has sidelined him since October.
His rugged style of play and the hope that he could find his goal scoring and continue his toughness will help the Oilers greatly especially when it comes to the playoffs at full health.
It's become clear that head coach Kris Knoblauch has not found any trust with Oilers forward Jeff Skinner and will not get the opportunities to try to redeem himself or become the player they had hoped when they signed him last summer. Some are expecting him to be healthy scratched for several games as he has not improved as his ice time has been cut.
This leads to a potential call up of Oilers prospect Noah Philip who would be considered another internal add to their roster as he was the last player to leave the Oilers to head back to the Condors at the beginning of the season.
Bowman will need to be creative at this deadline as he is trying to add to his defence and to his secondary scoring and if these three players can come up and give the performance as they need, they will be seen as great moves and at the cost of no players or draft picks.
