In tonight's game between the Calgary Flames and Arizona Coyotes, the latter team proved their franchise will go down swinging. After a dirty hit, Coyotes forward Jan Jenik pounded in Dryden Hunt.

Jenik and Hunt met at center ice for a really spirited tilt of which Jenik clearly came out on top. Only a few times Hunt was able to even get close to throwing punches, but mostly, Jenik was wailing down on him with repeated blows. Hunt eventually went down to the ice, practically turtling to defend himself.

The physicality in the game seemed to really amp up when Flames' goon Martin Pospisil laid another brutal hit which left Coyotes forward Liam O'Brien incensed. Pospisil has begun to develop a reputation in his rookie year with the Flames for being a dirty player and consistently throwing questionable hits. Through just 60 games of his career, Pospisil's been suspended twice.

In the final days as a franchise, the Coyotes are showing that they're really banding together to give some last competitive efforts for their fans, and for each other. For the players and their fans, the relocation of the Coyotes is definitely a great disappointment - but for the rest of the NHL fed up with the charade of their poor ownership, it's long overdue to move the Coyotes. On April 18th, the NHL is expected to make the official announcement of their relocation to Utah.
