NHL fighting legend Donald Brashear drops the gloves again at 52 years old
Now 52 years old and 14 years removed from his last NHL season, Donald Brashear is still playing his type of hockey now in the minor professional league, the LNAH in eastern Canada. In tonight's game, the really veteran forward went for broke in a fight, as he was always known to do.
Now playing with the Jonquiere Marquis and seen in the green jersey in this video, Brashear clearly didn't shy away from this fight, but he definitely didn't get the best of it. Brashear landed some quality punches but also received a few himself, and was eventually knocked to the ice by his opponent.
It's unbelievable to see such a legendary NHL enforcer continue to play, and especially continue to fight at his age. Brashear played 1025 career games in the NHL between the Montreal Canadiens, Vancouver Canucks, Washington Capitals, Philadelphia Flyers, and New York Rangers. In his career, he registered 205 points and an insane 2634 penalty minutes.
