23-Year Old Player Forced to Have His Organ Removed by Doctors After Receiving a Hit
Thereare always downsides to playing your favourite sports, and for hockey, there iscertain drawbacks. Yegor Stronov, a 23-year-old hockeyplayer for Dynamo-Altay of the VHL, can certainly confirm this after suffering serious injuries as a result of a hit from an opponentby the name of Yegor Filippov.
He sustained quite a bit of damage from the hit, including the loss of a kidney through surgery.
As reported by Sport24.ru He lost his kidney due to damage to the organ, the doctor failed to save it and it had to be removed.
The examination revealed damage to the left kidney. During the surgery the doctors failed to save the organ, so unfortunately the kidney had to be removed.
We would like to express our deepest words of support to relatives and friends of Yegor!
Reports show his condition is "critical but stable", which does not make much sense as those two terms contradict themselves but in good news, he is expected to make a full recovery.
