The Oilers' roster became a little murkier after Klim Kostin, the Oilers' new fan favourite sustained a potential shoulder injury when they played against the Ottawa Senators on Saturday.
At the moment they do not have clear information on the extent of the injury, which leaves the Oilers in a bit of a bind with Kailer Yamamoto almost ready to return. Kostin is listed as "OUT" with no description to the injury.
A few scenarios have played out if Kostin were to be placed on LTIR or not. If he is they would need to send down two players to fit Yamamoto into the lineup.
The 23-year-old centre has embraced his time with the Oilers. He has been seen numerous times with fans for jersey signings and likes what he sees with the fan base.
He was drafted in the 2017 entry draft, first round, 31st overall he has played 37 games, scored nine goals and four assists for 13 points and is a + 8.
The Oilers' next game will be at home against the Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday, February 15th. Game time will be at 9:30 PM Eastern
