It seemed to happen out of nowhere for 24-year-old Finnish Elite League player Miro Nalli to collapse to the ice. There was no apparent hit or contact that led to his collapse.

Nalli, 24, collapsed and as he made an effort to stand, he fell to his knees. Nalli reportedly spent "several" seconds fully unconscious. He tried to skate to the bench to get help, a truly horrifying scene that has recently happened far too frequently in professional sports, and almost collapsed again.

As Nalli entered the ambulance (on his own feet) and was being transported to the hospital, bystanders tried to question him, but he remained silent. On the other hand, his head coach did make a comment about it:

I don't know what I can tell the outside world about it.

We are extremely careful. We prefer to over-react than under-react.

Further information will be provided, however it seems that Nalli may have collapsed as a result of a concussion that he supposedly sustained earlier in the season...
