Norris Trophy winner Erik Karlsson has shed light on his possible landing spot amid his desire for a trade from the San Jose Sharks.
The 33-year-old defenseman confirmed discussions with several teams, including the Carolina Hurricanes, Pittsburgh Penguins, Seattle Kraken, and Toronto Maple Leafs.
Karlsson expressed his interest in joining a contending team after a resurgent season, where he tallied an impressive 25 goals and 101 points in 82 games. However, his massive $11.5 million cap hit, full no-move clause, and four years remaining on his contract pose challenges to potential trades.
The Hurricanes have the most cap space among interested teams.
