BREAKING: Five players demanded to surrender to police after World Juniors investigation
Moments ago, Robyn Doolittle The Globe and Mail released a bombshell report regarding the investigation into the allegations against the 2018 World Juniors team. After years of investigation, police in London, Ontario are putting out a call to 5 players to surrender themselves to police. Still, no charges have officially been laid.
Rick Westhead had the following report:
At the time, it's unknown which five players have been requested to surrender themselves to police. However, three members of that team have gone on to play in the NHL, being Alex Formenton, Dillon Dube, and Carter Hart. Formenton has since left to play overseas, and Dube and Hart both took leaves of absences from their teams this week.
Hopefully more information become available soon, but for now, it's good to see that justice is close to finally being served for this horrific incident that has stained and nearly destroyed the organization of Hockey Canada.
