BREAKING: North Korea Officially Set to Return to Hockey
North Korea is set to make its return to international sports this fall, signaling a comeback to the world of sports competitions.
The country will be sending seven judo athletes, as well as their men's and women's U23 football teams, to the 2022 Asian Summer Games.
This anticipated return also opens the door for North Korea's potential participation in IIHF (International Ice Hockey Federation) competitions.
While they withdrew from multiple tournaments since their last appearance in 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, their ranking has slipped to 56th out of 58 on the Men's side (from 40th in their last appearance) and 43rd out of 44 on the Women's side (from 27th in their last appearance).
