One of the biggest issue the Edmonton Oilers haventhey need some help on defence, they have one of the highest goals scored by an offensive group in the entire NHL but still fail to win games at their expected rate.
A potential backup goaltender can be decent but a solid defenceman could really help the Oilers going forward. Well Oilers fans Gm Ken Holland is looking it appears. According to Edmonton Oilers Insider Marc Spector the Oilers are looking at acquiring the services of Vancouver Canucks defencemen Luke Schenn.
Schenn is a veteran defenceman thats been around the League since being drafted 5th overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs. The 33 year-old is a pending ufa this summer and has won two Stanley Cups as a member of the Tampa Lightning. Schenn is also a big boy at 6'2, 225 pounds, he would definitely help clear the way for Stuart Skinner, and Jack Campbell, and also provide protection to the Oilers' stars upfront.
